Meet Yesenia
Yesenia earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Central Oklahoma and currently serves as a Senior Clinical Research Coordinator at OU Children’s, a role she has held since January 2026. Prior to joining OU Children’s, she worked at Stephenson Cancer Center as a Clinical Oncology Research Coordinator supporting research focused on cancer prevention, medical device studies, and GI/GU oncology clinical trials. Since entering her role as a Clinical Research Coordinator, she has extended her skillset to include phlebotomy and maternal and infant body composition assessment.
Yesenia is passionate about improving access to healthcare for underserved populations, particularly individuals facing cultural or language barriers. She is committed to helping patients feel informed, supported, and empowered throughout their healthcare experience.
In her free time, Yesenia enjoys spending time with her husband and 13-month-old daughter. She also enjoys being outdoors and scrapbooking.
